It's fairly big inside, and there's a beer garden (patio) out the back too. Large open windows let light in at the very front and back, and inside the decor is dominated by blond wood panelling and floors [http://www.flickr.com/photos/55935853@N00/8672217128/ photo], lots of lights and light-coloured surfaces to help improve the previously rather dim lighting. At the front of the pub is a range of plush leather couches and chairs with low tables in a mock library decor [http://www.flickr.com/photos/55935853@N00/8672217436/ photo], while the rear is kept laid out as a dining room. |
It's fairly big inside, and there's a beer garden (patio) out the back too. The ceiling is low, and there's little natural light except at the very front and back. Fruit machines flash silently, and there's a dartboard at the front too. |

There are two sets of four handpulls on either side of the long bar, with each set offering Timothy Taylor's Landlord, Thwaites' Wainwright, Sambrook's Powerhouse Porter and Windsor & Eton Windsor Knot (£3.85/pint) on [[Ewan]]'s April 2013 visit. There are also a few decent keg beers, including Pilsner Urquell, Camden Town Hells, BrewDog Punk IPA and Peroni, amongst others. Further bottled beers are available from a prominent fridge behind the bar, in a decent range of different styles from across the world. |
[[Bob]] visited on a Saturday lunchtime around 1pm in March 2008. There was a smattering of other customers. An OK pint of London Pride was £2.78/pint. Young's Ordinary was off. There was another beer on which might have been Greene King IPA. |

There is a table of daily newspapers set out near the front door, and fairly unchallenging music was playing not too loudly on [[Ewan]]'s visit. There are some flatscreen TVs high up on a few of the walls, playing sport but without the sound. Service was very friendly. |
[[Kake]] visited a few years later, on a Monday afternoon in October 2011. There were four real ales on: Young's London Gold (£1.76/half), Greene King Old Golden Hen, London Pride, and Doom Bar. There were maybe five or six other customers in when I arrived around 3:30pm. Music was playing, not too loudly. Cricket was showing silently on the flatscreens. |

Prior to its refurbishment, in October 2011, food was served noon-9pm Monday to Sunday, which is likely to have remained unchanged. The menu focuses on pub classics like burgers, as well as Sunday roasts, and there's a weekend brunch menu served until noon. [[Ewan]] tried a burger and chips (£12) [http://www.flickr.com/photos/55935853@N00/8671163739/ photo], and staff asked how it should be cooked. Despite requesting medium-rare, it was barely pink inside [http://www.flickr.com/photos/55935853@N00/8672265802/ photo], but still fairly tasty, in a brioche bun; the chips were also quite good, though there weren't many of them. |
According to the Taylor Walker website as of October 2011, food is served noon-9pm Mon-Sun. The menu is a standard chain-wide one, nothing too exciting. |
