A branch of the good value Italian cafe/delicatessen chain, in Fitzrovia, not far from Oxford Circus Station.

Ewan most often uses this branch to get coffee in the morning (around £1.80 for a black Americano), which is always served promptly. Quality is good: there's a choice of the usual range of coffees (espresso, macchiato, latte, cappuccino, Americano) in either Milano or Arabica blends. The latter uses robusta beans (which tend to be lower quality, more bitter ones), so I'd recommend going for the former.

They also do a good range of pastries in the morning (mainly of the croissant variety: a plain is £1.30, a little more for pains au chocolat or almond croissants), as well as an excellent but filling breakfast panino (£3.50, with mushrooms, egg and the like -- which comes in both meat and vegetarian forms). There are also other options for seated diners, such as a basket of bread with jams (nice).

There's a large amount of seating out the back and in front of the cafe on crowded Market Place itself, vying for space with the Harry Morgan cafe on one side and Strada on the other. Outdoor seating is covered and there are heaters for cold weather.

Mains for lunch and dinner are as standard for other branches of Carluccio's Caffe.
