Adam Cafe was a decent greasy spoon cafe just off Southwark Park Road. It has now closed. |
Decent greasy spoon cafe just off Southwark Park Road. Better food than the Bermondsey Cafe, and also slightly smarter ambience and decor (this photo of Bob at breakfast gives a very vague idea of what I mean). |

The information below is retained for historical purposes. |
Kake and Bob tried the number 2 set breakfast (£4): fried egg, bacon, sausage, beans, hash browns, toast, and tea. The egg was fried in a neat little round shape and the yolk was just about runny enough. The bacon (two slices) was good quality and well cooked. Everything else was competent too. |

Bob has also had the Adam Special breakfast (£4.95): 2 fried egg, bacon, sausage, tomato, black pudding, hash browns, toast and tea. This is possibly my ideal breakfast. Although the black pudding could be slightly more seasoned. |

They also offer a vegetarian breakfast (£4.50) which includes quorn sausage, egg, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns, bubble, toast, and tea or coffee. The servings are quite large: doop had difficulty finishing his, which doesn't usually happen. They also substituted some other veggie sausage for the quorn, which was tasty despite being the sort that contains peas. The seats outside are pleasant on a sunny day. The coffee is instant.
They do normal meals too, e.g. pie and chips, roast beef, various omelettes, as well as sandwiches and jacket potatoes, but we've not tried them.
