Vietnamese restaurant in Croydon, about 5-10 minutes' walk from East Croydon Station.
Kake and bob visited on a Tuesday evening in May 2013. There were a few other people in, but no problem finding us a table despite the small size of the space.
Tofu summer rolls (£5) photo had nicely elastic skins, just about enough herbs, and some well-flavoured tofu, while crispy vegetable rolls (£4) photo were crisp and greaseless.
Bánh xèo (pancake stuffed with prawns and beansprouts; £9) photo was nicely presented and nicely textured. Thịt heo răm (spiced pork meatballs in a tomato sauce; £6.50 not including rice) photo was fine.
A dessert of lemon and ginger tart (£4.50) photo was nicely gingery.
They are unlicensed, but allow BYOB with a corkage charge of £1/person (this seems to be per person at the table, rather than per person drinking).
bob's verdict: I thought it was pretty good, and I'd go back.
