A large branch of the Japanese Canteen chain, near [[Liverpool Street Station]]. There are several other branches in the City, plus one in Holborn and another on Tottenham Court Road. This branch appears to be very popular with office workers at lunchtimes, but the quick turnover and canteen-style benches mean you can normally find somewhere to sit. |

On [[Kat]]'s Wednesday lunchtime visit, there was a long but fast-moving queue (with three tills open) so I didn't have to wait long to order, and I found a seat near the door. My beef yaki udon (£6.45) arrived within a few minutes. It was quite heavy on the pickled ginger, but otherwise there was a good balance of beef, veg and noodles. |

A large branch of the Japanese Canteen chain, near Liverpool Street station. There are several other branches in the City, plus one in Holborn and another on Tottenham Court Road. This branch appears to be very popular with office workers at lunchtimes, but the quick turnover and canteen-style benches mean you can normally find somewhere to sit.
As per the other branches, you order your food from the counter first and then find a seat, and your food will be brought to you. There is also a waiting area off to the side for people ordering takeaway.
