Chappell's is a historic Music Shop now based on Wardour Street. But more than just a curiosity, they are also an excellent music shop, providing a very high level of service and after sales care. They specialise in pianos and some orchestral instruments, but also have a very good range of pro-audio equipment (mixing desks, speakers and other PA equipment). They are also a very good bet as a centrally located Yamaha main dealer. They also stock guitars, digital drums and sheet music. |

As a personal recommendation/anecdote, we bought a ~£700 mixing desk from them (they gave us a good discount from the displayed price). After using it for several months we found a 'bug', which we initially though we a blown circuit, but was actually a design flaw. They negotiated with Yamaha on our behalf and had it fixed free of charge and VERY conveniently (even offering to supply us with a spare if we needed it whilst ours was away) and the desk came back in record time. In my experience this level of service is VERY unusual in music shops. --[[Richard]] |

Hello anonymous - I'm not sure we have the contributor base to properly cover music shops (as opposed to Record Shops), and we also prefer fully fleshed-out articles to stub entries like this one, so I'll have to think about this a bit. It'll probably get deleted though, I'm afraid, unless someone turns it into a proper article soon. --Kake
Hi Kake, I've added some detail as requested and will try and add more music shops in a timely manner, please keep prodding me --Richard
