Micropub opposite Hayes Station, in the Good Beer Guide.
Going in feels rather like entering someone's house, with a little vestibule leading inwards to the main room. A bar in the corner here has no handpumps; ales are listed on a board and served on gravity from the coolroom beyond. To the side of this main area is a smaller space with a view out of the front windows towards the station.
Kake and friend visited on a Thursday afternoon in September 2019. There were a handful of other customers in when we arrived a little after 4pm, apparently regulars. Service was friendly and helpful.
Seven real ales were available, all priced between £3.70/pint and £4/pint: Real Ale Way Tradition Ale (the "house session bitter"), Larkins Pale, Whitstable Oyster Stout, Iron Pier Perry St Pale, Tonbridge Countryman, Tonbridge Coppernob, and Tonbridge Golden Rule. They also had ten real ciders on draught and more in bottles.
Accessibility: No steps to get in, or to the toilets.
