A very nice boozer with lots going on. Live music on Friday (hiphop/indie/punk), Saturday(rock/indie) and Sunday is something called Kelvstock (jazz/blues/funk/roots). |
A very nice boozer with lots going on. Live music on Friday and Saturday with no cover charge. Monday night is pub quiz for £1, and during the week there are other things going on such as open mic nights. There is also an artspace which I haven't checked out yet. |

Monday night is pub quiz for £1. There are four rounds including an audiovisual round (though this wasn't working when we went on 11th Feb). The prize is £10 and a bottle of wine, or gamble for the jackpot. Monday night seemed a healthy mix of locals and students. |
There's a beer garden, again not checked out yet, and they serve stew on Wednesdays. I really need to go back to get a picture and make a note of the nights they do stuff. So this entry is pretty sparse but if I upload then I'll get my arse in gear and do a proper entry! |

House red wine is £2.70 for a large glass. Ciders on offer are Scrumpy for £3, Vintage (75cl) for £6.50, Strongbow £2.80 and Fruit (75 cl) is £6. There is occasionally Pride in bottles, but not always. |
One thing I do remember thinking I should note is that they have Pear Cider. They also have Pride in bottles. |

They also offer shots for £2.50: Sambuca, B-52, Tequila Slammer, Rum & Lime and something called Squashed Frog. Weekday events are listed as: Tuesday: Films & spoken word / poetry night Weds: Open mic with Griff, also stew night (costs £2.50) Thursday: Catapult Club They also offer an 'art space' and artists who want to exhibit should ask for more details behind the bar. Bec visited again Saturday 20th February, where the vibe was definitely more towards the local and market traders from Deptford High Street market, and I have to admit I was a bit intimidated by the Career Boozers, but after nervous conversation I sat myself on a comfy sofa, listend to Dolly Parton from the old-timey jukebox and sipped my wine. There is a pool table in the back, and some a few pictures - I'm not sure if this is the 'art space' available. I am hoping to go to each weekday event and update on what it was like. |
