One of the largest operators of managed pubs in the UK, Mitchells and Butlers was originally a brewer, but in the late-90s moved into pub management and divested itself of its brewing operations.
It now owns a number of distinct brands -- most prominently Nicholson's, All Bar One, O'Neill's, Harvester and Ember Inns -- as well as operating unbranded pubs such as the ones in this category.
Although the unbranded pubs retain a lot of their own character, they tend to share a very similar food menu.
