It has a range of fairly standard ales on tap (in April 2008 these were Greene King IPA, Wadworth 6X and Deuchars IPA, at £3.20 each/pint, and Courage Best Bitter, at £3.10/pint). It's also reasonable value money-wise - a round of two pints of Deuchars and two pints of Fosters was £12.20 in August 2007. |
Importantly (and rarely) for this area, it also has a pool table upstairs (£1) where the local rules seemed to be winner-stays-on. |

Its location does mean it gets fairly crowded in the evening but perhaps not as much as some other drinking establishments in this area, and the downstairs is quite cramped. You can't take glasses outside, so need to request plastic cups if drinking on the street. |
