[[Kat]] and others visited here on a Saturday night; most of the tables (including ours) had been reserved, including a number of cosy alcoves. Although the bar was fairly quiet at 8pm it soon filled up and became extremely noisy (the music was turned up equally loudly to compensate). Table service costs extra, but our party felt it was worth it to avoid the crowds at the bar. |

The cocktail menu was extensive and reasonably priced (the majority of drinks were £6.50-£7, and house martinis just £4), with a strong emphasis on rum-based drinks. Kat tried a Mojito, a Hedgerow Sling (both £6.50) and a 'Trailer Grog' (£7). The Mojito was underwhelming and the Sling was very sweet (think concentrated Ribena), but the Grog was a good mixture of different rums - and quite potent! Unsurprisingly this was a popular choice with our party. |

The bar can be slightly tricky to find, as the doorway on the corner of Elgin Crescent is not very clearly marked. The staff are very friendly and seem happy to go off menu on request. I would probably return for a pre-dinner drink early in the evening if I was in the area. |
