Note that as this is on a loop line, Waterloo trains go either clockwise around the loop via [[Brentford Station|Brentford]] (the slightly quicker way) or anticlockwise via [[Hounslow Station|Hounslow]] and [[Richmond Station|Richmond]] (the slightly slower way). The difference in journey time between the two routes is 13-15 minutes (35-37 minutes vs. 50 minutes). The two routes join up on leaving the loop at [[Barnes Station|Barnes]], and then continue to Waterloo via [[Putney Station|Putney]] and Clapham Junction.
