It was previously part of the Ember Inns chain ([[Category Mitchells And Butlers|Mitchells & Butlers]]), but according to the April/May 2011 edition of London Drinker it was acquired by the Stonegate Pub Company in October 2010. Our comments below predate the takeover. |
It's pretty much exactly like all other Ember Inns, reminiscent of a hotel lobby or a Beefeater from the '80s. Seating is a mix of sofas, banquettes, and normal chairs and tables. |

Ember Inn in Cheam.
It's pretty much exactly like all other Ember Inns, reminiscent of a hotel lobby or a Beefeater from the '80s. Seating is a mix of sofas, banquettes, and normal chairs and tables.
Kake and James visited on a Tuesday afternoon in October 2010. There were a fair few people in, but plenty of free tables. Bland easy-listening music was playing, and flatscreens around the place were showing the news with subtitles on and sound off. Three real ales were on (Courage Best, Young's Bitter, and one other), all priced well under £3 but served far too cold.
According to the Ember Inns website as of October 2010, food is served 11:30am-9pm Mon-Sun and there are two pub quizzes a week, on Sundays and Tuesdays from 9pm.
Accessibility: Two steps up to get in.
