The Deptford Arms was a pub on Deptford High Street. It [http://crossfields.blogspot.com/2010/05/deptford-finally-lays-down-its-arms.html closed] in May 2010. It appears that it is unlikely to be reopening as a pub — see [http://deptforddame.blogspot.com/2010/03/deptford-armspaddy-power.html Deptford Dame post], [http://crossfields.blogspot.com/2010/04/another-bookies-on-high-street.html Crosswhatfields post 1], [http://crossfields.blogspot.com/2010/04/paddy-power-refused-planning-permission.html Crosswhatfields post 2].
A very nice boozer with lots going on. Live music on Friday (hiphop/indie/punk), Saturday(rock/indie) and Sunday is something called Kelvstock (jazz/blues/funk/roots).

The information below is retained for people who want to know what it used to be like.
Monday night is pub quiz for £1. There are four rounds including an audiovisual round (though this wasn't working when we went on 11th Feb). The prize is £10 and a bottle of wine, or gamble for the jackpot. Monday night seemed a healthy mix of locals and students.

They also offer an 'art space' and artists who want to exhibit should ask for more details behind the bar. A quiz machine and Mario Kart are available for gaming - I'm not sure if the Mario Kart is free or not.
<a href="http://london.randomness.org.uk/wiki.cgi?">Bec</a> visited again Saturday 20th February, where the vibe was definitely more towards the local and market traders from Deptford High Street market, and I have to admit I was a bit intimidated by the Career Boozers, but after nervous conversation I sat myself on a comfy sofa, listend to Dolly Parton from the old-timey jukebox and sipped my wine. There is a pool table in the back, and some a few pictures - I'm not sure if this is the 'art space' available.
