[[Kake]] and [[bob]] visited again on a Wednesday lunchtime in August 2009; there were plenty of free tables on this visit, too. The accompanying pickled baby beetroot was quite mild, contrasting with the much sharper pickled baby carrots. The accompanying frites were good and hot and crispy, but sadly oversalted. [[Kake]]'s verdict: Not sure. The obvious comparison in the area is [[La Trompette, W4 2EU|La Trompette]], which I think has the edge in terms of finesse, but is also more expensive. I think I'd prioritise a revisit to La Trompette over a revisit to Le Vacherin.
