Young's pub in Westminster. One of only ten pubs to appear in all 35 editions of the Good Beer Guide. It has been refurbished in 2008. So is a much nicer pub now. The kitchen is now better so the menu contains less fried things. There seems to be a weekly specials menu. |
Young's pub in Westminster. One of only ten pubs to appear in all 35 editions of the Good Beer Guide. The beer was drinkable. Winter Warmer, Bombardier and Youngs bitter were on. The Special was off but the pump clip hadnt been turned around. Must have been around £3 a pint. |

On a visit in September 2008 the beers on were Young's Bitter(£2.75), Young's Special and Bombardier. Both the Special and Bitter were very drinkable. |
Food is nominally served all day every day until 9pm, but as of October 2007 they can only guarantee it at lunchtimes, due to staff shortages, so it's best to call ahead and check (this is likely to be a temporary situation). |

The food was okay. The sausage feast(£9.95) consisted of 6 okay sausages, chips, bread(which wasnt great) and 3 pickles. Certainly enough to share as they suggest. It was about the right amount for [[bob]]. Other people seemed happy enough with their food. |
The food choice is nothing particularly unusual, though they do now offer main course salads with four choices of topping (e.g. prawn and bacon; avocado and stilton; all £6). Sandwiches (all served on ciabatta) are £3.80; jacket potatoes are £4.20-£5.40; beef or veggie burger is £6. All day brunch is £6 for the meaty version and £5.20 for the veggie version. [[Martin]] has expressed strong approval of the chips, though this is based on a visit from a couple of years ago. |
