Kake ordered a delivery on a Thursday night in October 2008. It arrived fairly quickly and the delivery driver was friendly. I had the Siciliana pizza (garlic, ham, anchovies, and artichokes, £9 for 10"), the spicy hot chicken wings (£3.49 for eight), and the potato scoops and dip (£2.49). The pizza was perfectly adequate for what it was, if nothing special. The chicken wings were OK too, and just about the right level of spiciness for me (I'd asked for barbecue but they were out, so they phoned me to check I was OK having the spicy hot ones instead). The potato scoops were disappointing; the texture was a bit "microwaved", and the garlic and herb dip was artificial-tasting and overly sweet.
The main reason I ordered from here rather than Cucina was that I fancied some chicken wings, and Cucina don't do that sort of thing. I don't think I'll persuade the rest of the household to switch their allegiance from Cucina, but I might try one of Village Pizza's mock meat pizzas if I ever again happen to be the only one ordering.
