Comment added by Kake: Lunch menu is served noon-5pm daily, priced between £4 for home-made soup of the day (cream of sweet potato today) and £9 for hand-made steak burger with cheese and bacon (served with handcut chips). They also offer an "express lunch", which changes daily, costs £6, and is "served promptly" - today's is toad in the hole with mash and gravy. I had "smoked salmon served with scrambled egg and brown toast" (£5). The salmon was cut into small pieces and mixed in with the eggs, which wasn't what I was expecting, but it was fine. The eggs were cooked quite dry, but thankfully didn't seem to have been bulked out with milk. Toast was cut quite thick and toasted very lightly on one side only. It came with a lemon half which seemed to have been grilled at some point but was sensibly served at room temperature.

Young's pub on Putney High Street.

Food served 11am-10pm every day.

Bob comments: The refurbishment has turned it into one of the Young's gastropubs by the looks of it from the outside. The last pub I know this happened to lost its GBG entry in the next one.

Comment added by Kake: Young's ordinary (2.80), Special, and Bombardier. There's another pump too but it had its clip turned around. One step up to get in, and toilets are downstairs. Quiet piped music (jazz, the peaceful noodly instrumental kind with occasional vocals).
