A pub near Hammersmith Station on Fulham Palace Road.
It serves a decent enough range of beer, with four ales on tap including Deuchars IPA, London Pride, Ubu and one other (March 2008).
Bob comments (August 2007): The London Pride was certainly drinkable. The food was pretty good. The squid and preserved lemon risotto was very tasty at about £8 (available as a smaller portion as well). The burger was very good as well, obviously homemade and cooked to order (shame my brother ordered it done medium well). They have separate lunch and evening menus.
The toilets are at the back and you determine the gender by looking at the pictures above the doors. This seems to catch a lot of people out.
There seems to be a another room upstairs used for live music and comedy. There is also a beer garden.
Ewan comments (March 2008): The Deuchars IPA was excellent as ever (£2.90/pint). The Ubu had a sharper taste but was still very drinkable.
The pub has the standard darkened gastro ambience, with mock chandeliers, dark leather seats and tables at varying heights including a long table with high chairs between the door and the bar, surrounded by smaller tables. There is a longer table with banquette chairs in the corner by the front windows, separated from its neighbours by a glass divider, and was reserved on our visit. All the other tables were full by 6pm on a Wednesday evening.
