Pub in Abbey Wood.
Inside is a single room wrapped around the bar, broken up with a few partial interior walls. The decor is fairly traditional, with a patterned carpet on the floor and varnished dark wood tables and chairs. Many kinds of brass objects hang from the ceiling — goblets, jugs, a hand bell, warming pans, kettles, etc — and a collection of Toby jugs is displayed behind the bar. There's also a beer garden of sorts — not sure there's anything actually green out there, but there are tables and chairs.
Kake visited on a Wednesday early evening in April 2011. There were quite a few people in when I arrived a little before 5pm, with plenty of lively conversation. No music was playing, but a flatscreen was showing snooker with the sound on very quietly. There was a dog wandering around — not sure if it belonged to the pub or a customer.
Two real ales were available: Sharp's Doom Bar (£3.15/pint) and Brains' Rev. James. The staff member behind the bar was happy to let me have a taster of the latter to see if I liked it.
As of April 2011, food is served weekday lunchtimes and Sunday lunchtimes at least. There's an open kitchenette at one end of the bar; a microwave and kettle were visible, not sure what other cooking facilities they have.
Accessibility: A step up to get in. Level access to the bar, seating area, and ladies' once you're in. Not sure about the beer garden.
