According to the June/July 2019 London Drinker, as of that date the Waterman's Arms had closed "for major refurbishment under new tenant". According to its website as of January 2020, it "reopened on 21st November 2019 after a complete top to toe refurbishment". We haven't visited since, so some of the details below may be out of date.
There's a small front room which seats around 20 and has a bar and a real fire. The back room seats another 10 or so. There's a Thai restaurant and a function room on the first floor.
Thai food served all day until 10pm. It also does British food including pies.
bob first visited in February 2008. Young's Special was £2.80/pint and very good.
bob visited again on a Thursday evening in February 2017. The ales available were Young's Bitter (£3.85/pint), Young's Special, Twickenham Grandstand, and Twickenham Naked Ladies (£4.40/pint).
Accessibility: A step to get in. Toilets are down a flight of stairs in the basement.
