Canteen-style noodle place in Islington, part of a chain. Located upstairs in the N1 Centre (which is reached from Upper Street or Liverpool Road), next to Yo Sushi.

This is another perfectly serviceable branch of a dependable Japanese food chain of restaurants, situated in the bland surroundings of the N1 Centre. A large space with pane-glass windows facing onto the winged sculpture that sits alongside Liverpool Road, the place was largely full even on a Sunday evening in October.

The menu is exactly as elsewhere, with the yasai katsu curry just as tasty as ever, four or five large slices of tempura vegetables (one aubergine, the others butternut squash), served with rice and a curry sauce. For dessert, the white chocolate and ginger cheesecake is particularly tasty, while coconut reika is pleasantly creamy.

See Category Wagamama for an explanation of the concept and further comments that apply to all branches.
