Small independent bookshop in Woodford Green.
Kake has visited twice now, most recently in June 2017.
In September 2008 I noted a very small SF/fantasy/horror section, two small shelves only, plus a decent children's books section; however, the bulk of the fiction was filed under general fiction. Little snippets of readers' reviews were placed here and there on the shelves next to the books they referred to, which I thought was a nice touch. I saw a couple of London-related books among the non-fiction, plus a few books about walking and/or pubcrawling in Essex. The interweb suggests that if I'd looked a little harder (or perhaps asked the owner) I might have found some local history books too. Service was perfectly friendly, and I found a couple of interesting books in the general fiction section, eventually choosing a copy of Gautam Malkani's Londonstani.
In June 2017 the children's books section had expanded, with both fiction and non-fiction for a range of ages; I ended up with a copy of The Paper Bag Princess by Robert Munsch and Michael Martchenko. They still seemed to have several local-interest books.
Accessibility: A step to get in. There are a couple of low chairs inside to sit on while browsing.
