bob,Kake and Richardc visited on a pleasant saturday afternoon. There was a wedding reception going on in the restaruant section and some of the beer garden but there was still plenty of tables in the quite ariy main bar and in the rest of the garden.
They had London Pride, Doom Bar, Summer Lightning, Cottage Atlantic(£3.10), Courage Directors on when we arrived. The summer lighting went off when we tried to order it. The member of bar staf thought it might be off but let bob try it to make sure. When bob confirmed it had gone the pump clip was turned round immediately. The Cottage Atlantic was a very nice pint and certainly kept well. Stowford Press cider was £3.80
Between us we shared a Butchers Plate sharing platter(£12). Whch was a plate of various meat products served with some picallili and some rocket. Kake felt that the chicken satay and Lamb Kofte were a bit dry. The ribs were lackign in bbq sauce but since that wasnt interesting it wasnt really missed. The sausage was pretty good.
Accesibility Info: Ramp to the main bar area. Mostly level inside with a few tables in a raised area. Level to the beer garden outside if you go out the main door. Possible access to the garden throught the restautant area but this was used for a private party on our visit. RADAR locked disabled toilet.
