Traditional pub in Harringay, located on the corner of Burgoyne Road and Green Lanes. It became a free house in August 2007.

Kake visited on a Tuesday lunchtime in June 2008. Summer Lightning (£2.80/pint) and Quick Fix were on as guest ales; Adnams Broadside was available too, but the Pride clip was turned around (the fact they know to do this is a good sign). They weren't serving food, and in fact I don't think they ever do food.

The front of the pub can be opened up in good weather (which this was); there's some outside seating on the pavement and also some inside seating near the open part to catch the breeze. The decor, including the upholstery, is all pretty shabby, which one might dislike or (like me) consider to be adding to the character of the place. The TV was turned on to some music channel or other (sadly including adverts), but I hear the jukebox is pretty decent at other times. There were several regulars clustered around the bar, and a few other people came in and out while I was there; everyone seemed to know each other.

Their website proudly proclaims them to be "a biker friendly pub".
