Oddbins [http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-12961593 went into administration] in April 2011. Many branches closed, but some were [http://www.decanter.com/news/wine-news/523840/oddbins-37-shops-sold acquired] by EFB Ltd, who run a chain of off licences under the name of Whittalls Wines. We aren't sure if this branch closed as part of all this, but in any case it was definitely closed by March 2014, when [[Tortilla, SW11 1SA|a branch of Tortilla]] opened up in its old premises. |
Although there is nothing at all substandard about this branch of Oddbins (it has all the usual friendliness and staff expertise), those looking for a bottle of wine in this area are also advised that Eagle's Wines, a local independent wine store, is not far up Lavender Hill, a short distance to the east of here. |
