Vietnamese supermarket on Walworth Road, part of a small chain including Longdan Express, E2 7NX.
It sells a range of fresh, frozen and ambient foods including lots of specialist products, herbs and spices and noodles. In February 2020 it opened a separate shop called The Plant Base which is vegetarian and vegan and sells tofu, noodles etc aimed at a non-Vietnamese audience. This was made from a space previously occupied by the seating area of bubble tea cafe Aobaba, which may have closed.
secretlondon popped in during the covid-19 outbreak looking for tofu. Longdan itself only had soft and silken tofu left but had lots of packet noodles and other cupboard essentials. The Plant Base had some flavoured tofu left at £2.25 a packet.
