La Perla Covent Garden is one of three branches in London of a chain of bar/restaurants specialising in Mexican food.
They run a happy hour every night from 4-7pm with offers on all their drinks, with all night offers on beer on Monday and margueritas on Tuesday. They serve a good range of bottled beers, including Modelo, as well as offering a range of cocktails, including a £100 Margarita containing Cuervo 1800 Coleccion tequila that gets your name up on their wall.
It's wise to book for food as tables fill quite quickly every night. They do a range of Mexican food from meat and rice dishes through to an array of different things involving tortillas in various forms. The quality is good and prices are about £5 for starters and £10-15 for mains.
The staff are friendly but it can be difficult to get served at the bar as it is lined with stools.
