You'd like to go out for some Indian food, and head to the pub afterwards for a pint of real ale. You don't want to have to walk too far between the restaurant and the pub.
More to come when I'm less tired. Anyone with any good ideas for use cases, please add them here.

This is a start at a guided tour of what RGL can do. It's a work in progress.

A friend is passing through London via King's Cross station, and has a couple of hours free to meet up with you for a beer. You're both fans of real ale, so you decide to look for a pub near the station that's in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide.

  • Go to the page for King's Cross St Pancras Station.
  • At the bottom, where it gives you a drop-down list for “Find all things within 500 metres of here”, click “Go”.
  • You'll be sent to a page listing everything we know about within that radius of King's Cross, with summaries of what they are. At the time of writing, there are two Good Beer Guide pubs in that list: Skinners Arms, WC1H 9NT and Mabel's Tavern, WC1H 9AZ. Look at those pages for more details, and choose the one you prefer!
  • If your friend's happy finding their own way there, send them the link to your chosen pub; the “map of this place” link will give them a street map to help them navigate.
  • To find the quickest way from your office or home to the pub, scroll to the bottom of the pub's page, put your postcode in the box where it tells you to, and click “Show”. It'll display three links which you can follow to get directions: WalkIt will give you walking directions, Journeyplanner will give you public transport directions from Transport For London, and Gmaps will give you whatever it feels like at the time.
  • Have a good evening, and, when you get home, add your own comments and thoughts to the pub's page, to help other people decide if it's somewhere they'd like too!
