Unusually for a zone 2 station, there are no ticket barriers. There are Oyster validators before you reach the platforms though. Slightly confusingly, the validator at the main entrance is just <i>beyond</i> the notice which warns you that you'll be fined if you're caught beyond it without a valid ticket or validated Oyster card.

There are, however, plans to install ticket barriers, with work beginning in 2009 if planning permission succeeds. [http://londonconnections.blogspot.com/2008/01/station-upgrades-finsbury-park-and.html This entry] on the London Connections blog has more details.

Zone 2 Tube, rail, and bus station on the Victoria and Piccadilly lines.

Best avoided on match days, if possible, since it will be overrun with Arsenal fans.

There are three entrances: the main one (shown in the photo on this page) is on the north-west side of Seven Sisters Road where it intersects with Stroud Green Road, while the others are reached via longish passageways from Wells Terrace photo and Seven Sisters Road.
