Young's pub across the road from Liverpool Street Station.
It is spread over three floors and is quite a bit bigger than it seems at first. There are bars on each floor, and the basement can be booked.
The beer is certainly drinkable, and they serve the standard Young's ales on tap. Special was about £3/pint. They also have most Young's bottled beers and a standard selection of lagers.
The pubs.com review says food is served noon-3pm, 4:30pm-9pm Mon-Fri and noon-5pm Sat-Sun, but I don't know how up to date that is. It's not always open at the weekend.
