Costa Coffee outlet on the ground floor reception area of Birkbeck College, in Bloomsbury, near the entrance to the Library.
The square in the name refers to Torrington Square onto which it faces. Although this is in a College building secretlondon believes it is accessible to the public.
It is part of the reception area and has some tables. Cheaper coffee is available in the student union shop in the basement.
secretlondon has drunk here lots of times. It generally closes an hour before the library but they have claimed to close to clean their coffee machine earlier. It doesn't do flavoured coffees. It does bits of food like a few sandwiches and some cakes.
Don't even think about trying to get a seat between 5 and 6pm on weekdays - Birkbeck peak times.
