A long-standing pub near Crofton Park Station, rebuilt in the late-19th century, and refurbished in mid-2008.

The space inside is a very pleasant carpeted area with a number of large solid tables both in the front room where the bar is located, as well as around the back. There is some seating by the front windows on a raised area, and a large partially-covered beer garden/conservatory out the back, though it should be noted there were signs indicating no smoking in this area. Presumably the refurbishment was intended to make the place more family-friendly, and it comes across somewhat as a hotel bar.

Ales on tap are standard Greene King options, their IPA and Abbot Ale. There are also basic lager options, and a wine list. Food is served and is fairly decent. Ewan had a cheese and pickle baguette (around £4), though they also have plenty of hot food options as well. The pickle was served on the side, and the sandwich was fine and brought out promptly.

The pub notably hosts a theatre space (with seating for around 50), which is also used for other functions such as a semi-regular film club.
