This turned out to be six deep-fried tofu cubes, not marinaded, with a syrupy dip with a few peanuts in. I followed this with chicken pad Thai (£6.75), which was described as sweet and fruity sour. It was pretty tasteless, but I could identify the tamarind if not anything else. To drink, I had black goddess tea (£1.50) which was served in something a bit like a cafetiere. |
