The Windsor Castle was a pub in [[Locale Lower Clapton|Lower Clapton]]. According to the Dec 2018/Jan 2019 <i>London Drinker</i>, it will undergo residential development but is "expected to retain some sort of pub".

[[Kake]] et al. visited in September 2010 as part of the [[Category 38 Bus Route Pub Crawl|38 bus route pub crawl]]. There was no real ale, so we had Guinness instead. There were a fair few people in, all watching the football which was showing on a big pull-down screen and one of the three normal TVs scattered around the place. Small bowls of crisps and snacks were laid out along the bar &#8212; it wasn't obvious whether this was a regular occurrence, or some kind of special occasion, or because of the football.

Accessibility: Small step up to get in. Some of the seating is on a raised dais. Step-free to toilets (ladies' at least) once you're in.
