Vita's is a little sandwich bar (with a few seats, salad and some untried hot food) on Basinghall Street very near the Guildhall, the offices for the City of London Corporation, the local authority for the square mile.

It is 'the local' for the Guildhall and is priced to appeal to its clientele of local government officers and builders. A coffee is 65p, and a toasted ciabatta is £3. It's not cheap cheap, but cheap for the Square Mile.

The food is fine, and some is more exotic than you'd expect - eg bread with olives in.
