Good Beer Guide pub in Brixton.
Food served weekday lunchtimes and possibly evenings (not confirmed). Youngs Bitter, Special (£1.35/half), and Waggledance. Also Staropramen, if that's anything special.
Kake visited on a Friday lunchtime and it was pretty empty. Nobody else there except three old men (not together). Music was very easy-listening but not loud. Oh, it turns out that the music is radio - Magic's Maximum Music Hour, whatever that is.
Very much an old man's pub, I think, but in a good way. It's tucked away off the main roads in a little residential square, so I would guess everyone who comes here meant to come here.
Signs on the front indicate a private bar and a saloon bar but it's one room inside (photo). Notices say no children in the bar at any time; and no children on the premises at all after 7:30pm.
There are benches and tables out the front, and a beer garden (which I didn't examine) out the back.
