Zone 4 rail station in South London.

Almost all trains go from either Platform 1 (southbound, towards West Croydon, or East Croydon and beyond) or Platform 2 (northbound, towards Victoria and London Bridge), with Platforms 3 and 4 only being used when Platforms 1 and 2 are closed for engineering works. There are also occasional trains to Milton Keynes via Shepherd's Bush.

This is the nearest station to Crystal Palace FC's ground (Selhurst Park), so on home match days it can be very busy.

Oyster is accepted on all trains, but you can't buy an Oyster card at the station, or get Oyster problems sorted out at the ticket office.
