Pub right next to [[Kew Gardens Station]].
Not been in here yet, but it looks quite nice; it had a board inside advertising Belgian beers (Duvel, Fruli, etc) and another board with what looked like a fairly large range of food (see [http://flickr.com/photos/garfy3/245375223/ photo of menu on Flickr]). I didn't actually go inside, but it has large plate glass windows looking on to the eastbound platform of [[Kew Gardens Station]], and I had a squint inside while I was waiting about 300 years for my train to arrive.

The main part of the pub is quite dimly lit, and much of the seating is tall stools at tall tables; but they also have a nice conservatory with a couple of sofas, a huge arched ornate skylight, and floor-to-ceiling picture windows looking directly onto the eastbound platform of [[Kew Gardens Station]]. A sign seen in August 2008 said children are welcome in the conservatory until 7pm. There's some outside seating too, some of which is covered with a large parasol/umbrella.

[[Kake]] visited on a Wednesday early evening in August 2008. Beers available on handpump were Greene King IPA, Bombardier, and Adnams bitter. I had a pint of Addlestones cider at £3.10. (I'd been hoping for some nice Belgian beer, but the bartender told me they sadly don't do it any more.) There were a fair number of customers and most of the outside seats were taken, but I had no problem getting a table in the conservatory. Background music was playing, pretty bland but not loud enough to be annoying.
A sign seen outside in July 2008 advertised breakfast, food served all day, free wireless, and fairtrade coffee.

A sign seen outside in July 2008 advertised breakfast, food served all day, free wireless, and fairtrade coffee. A menu seen in August 2008 said food served noon-9pm daily (so not sure where breakfast comes in).
[http://www.pub-explorer.com/gtlondon/pub/railwayrichmond.htm Pub Explorer] gives food times as 11am-10pm Monday to Saturday, and noon-10pm Sunday.

As of August 2008, the menu was fairly comprehensive, covering a good range of standard and slightly-more-interesting pub food. Chips were £1.75, onion rings £1.50, nachos to share £5.25. Starters were between £3.25 (e.g. soup of the day, breaded mushrooms) and £4.25 (crispy garlic king prawns). Main course salads were between £5.25 (ham and cheese) and £6.75 (pan seared salmon fillet). Sandwiches (four options of bread type) were between £3.50 (cheddar with red onion jam) and £5 (rump steak with red onions, mushrooms, and mustard mayo). Rump steak was £8.25 for 8oz and £13.25 for 16oz; sirloin was £9 for 8oz. Mains were all around £6-7, e.g. mussels with chips and bread (£6-6.25); half a roast chicken with chips-or-mash, peas, and gravy (£6.25); pork cooked in Kentish cider served with mash, carrots and peas (£6.75). There were two vegetarian options; spinach and mushroom lasagne, and porcini ravioli, both £6.25.

Accessibility: One step up at both entrances. Toilets down a flight of stairs.

Comment added by Kake: Greene King IPA, Bombardier, Adnams bitter. I had a pint of Addlestones cider at 3.10. I asked about the Belgian beer but they don't do that any more ("Stella and Leffe only...")

Menu says food served noon-9pm daily.

Nice conservatory with huge arched ornate skylight and floor-to-ceiling picture windows looking directly onto the eastbound platform of Kew Gardens Station. Sign says children welcome in conservatory until 7pm. Medium step up to get into conservatory from outside but you'd also have to squeeze past all the outdoor tables to get in that way.
