Formerly known as the Cross Kings among several other names, this pub is now run as a 'sister pub' to the Star of Bethnal Green. It's a bit of a hike up York Way from King's Cross station and remains a haunt for backpackers.

The pub spans three floors: a basement that hosts gigs and club nights (thankfully refurbished in its latest incarnation to remove the hideous murals), a large ground floor and a smaller upstairs room available for private hire. There is also an outside seating area at the front for smokers.

Kat visited on a Saturday night in June 2013, and the ground floor was completely empty save for people from the private function upstairs (including me) coming down to order drinks at the ground floor bar. Said bar had one handpump serving Bombardier (£4.10 for a very watery and unpleasant pint) and a few unlabelled taps, presumably for the usual lagers. There was a small selection of bottled beers and ciders in the fridge, a bottle of Coopers Pale Ale was £4.40.

Accessibility: There is a low ramp to get in. Toilets are on the ground floor.

Last visited by Kat on 15 June 2013.
