Ethiopian cafe near Elephant and Castle. secretlondon wanted to visit this place after reading the review of the related St Gabriel Ethiopian Delicatessen, N4 2DW.
I visited one Sunday early evening in February 2018. Although its address is Newington Butts it is in a small row of shops between Newington Butts and Kennington Lane (near and behind Toulouse Lautrec).
It was full when I visited and I think I was the only non-Ethiopian there. I had a takeaway of Awaze Tibs for £9. It was very good and the injeera was nice and sour. They advertise that they make their own bread and I saw a bag on what looked like injeera pieces on sale on the counter.
I'd like to explore this some more and eat in. It looks really interesting.
