Pub in Enfield, on the corner of Clive Road and Southbury Road. Previously known as the Southbury Hotel.
Kake visited on a Monday afternoon; it was almost entirely empty except for one old chap at the bar and two people playing the quiz machine. The only real ale was Greene King IPA (£1.10/half pint). Service was friendly.
The decor is fairly traditional, and the space is broken up by means of raised areas and wooden balusters. There are a few shelves with some old hardbacks on them; don't know if any of them are worth reading though. The chairs and tables are dotted around fairly sparsely; possibly so they can fit more vertical drinkers in on Friday/Saturday nights? There's at least one flatscreen TV, but it was switched off.
The Southbury has a Thai restaurant (called Khun Mae) attached to it; the restaurant has a separate entrance, though I think they're connected inside, and you can order food to eat in the pub part if you prefer. A set Thai lunch is available; it's £6 for spring rolls or soup plus a main course. I didn't manage to see the full Thai menu.
They also do more traditional pub food. Sandwiches/paninis cost between £2.60 (cheese and tomato) and £2.90 (sausage and onion; steak and onion). Filled jacket potatoes are between £3.20 (cheese) and £3.55 (prawn cocktail; tuna mayonnaise). Chips are £1, cheesy chips are £1.50, and chips with cheese and bacon are £1.85. Mains cost between £5 (e.g. burger and chips) and £6 (rump steak and chips). Bizarrely, the ploughmans platter (£5) is advertised as coming with tuna. There are only two vegetarian main courses on the pub food menu; vegetable lasagne and roasted garlic and tomato pasta (both £5.50). Ice cream is £2.50 and other desserts (e.g. treacle sponge, chocolate pudding) are £3.
I think lunchtime food ends at 3pm, since on my visit the barman came around and removed the menus shortly after then.
