[[bob]] and [[elvum]] visited on a Saturday lunchtime in January 2012. The restaurant was about a quarter full, with customers of both Caucasian and east asian ethnicities. The decor was basic, with stacks of boxes in various places, but in no way unpleasant. [[bob]] ordered a plentiful supply of food: dumplings with beef tenderloin (£9.50), dan dan mian (mixed for us at the table)(£4), fish fragrant aubergine(£7.50), Shredded pigs ear in chilli oil (£8), chicken and dry chillis (£8), shredded potato (£6.50) and 6 Chinese Dumplings(£4).
[[elvum]] (who does not consider himself to be an expert on Sichuan cuisine) found the food to be of good quality, and the servings to be generous.

Dumplings with beef tenderloin (£9.50) [http://www.flickr.com/photos/rjw1/6739048301/ photo] were also very good; the stock was very beefy and the beef very tasty. Fish fragrant aubergine (£7.50) [http://www.flickr.com/photos/rjw1/6739026223/ photo] was fine.
[[bob]] thought the chicken and chillis was possibly a touch over fried. The dumplings with beef tenderloin was very good. The stock was very beefy and the beef very tasty. The shredded pigs ears were also very good. The fish fragrant aubergine was fine. Ive had better dan dan mian.

Dan dan mian (£4) [http://www.flickr.com/photos/rjw1/6739031239/ photo] was mixed for us at the table; [[bob]] has had better versions of this elsewhere. Chicken and dry chillis (£8) [http://www.flickr.com/photos/rjw1/6738989187/ photo] was possibly a touch over-fried.
Service was fine. There was a Mandarin-only specials menu, which we were unable to take advantage of, owing to an inability to read that language.
