A Naples-based pizza chain, one of whose branches in London is this one in Covent Garden (they have two others, in Notting Hill and Chelsea).

This restaurant sits at a busy corner of Monmouth Street, near Seven Dials, with long, wide windows looking out onto the pedestrian-dominated thoroughfares outside. Inside, is a huge pizza oven near the back of the building, and a staircase leads upstairs to further seating.

Ewan and Jo visited on a busy Saturday evening, and after a very brief wait were soon shown to a small table on the ground floor, by the window. It was rather tucked away at the back of the room, which may explain why it took a good 20 minutes or so before a waiter came to take our order. Once the order was made, the food didn't take too long to come out, though again paying required a bit of a wait.

Pizzas are mostly priced around £9, with a few breaking the £10 price, though a basic Napoli (tomato sauce, garlic, basil, oregano) is £5.60. This turned out to the better and tastier of the two pizzas, with the simple toppings bringing out the distinctive character of Neapolitan pizzas (a thicker, doughy base). Ewan didn't feel his Angrisella pizza (£8.80) worked quite so well as this, with the strong flavours (including endive, olives, pecorino cheese and capers) competing with each other too much.

There are some other odd options on the menu, such as panini pizza and fried pizza, as well as several salads. Vegetarian options are clearly marked (though include some with tuna, so double-check).
