Pizza takeaway/delivery place in Croydon. They offer online ordering via their website, via Hungry House, and via Just Eat.

Kake ordered via Hungry House in October 2011. My order arrived pretty quickly, the delivery driver was friendly, and the hot food was still hot.

Calamari fritti (£6) were undercooked; the coating was barely cooked and the squid itself could have taken more cooking too. They'd also failed to remove the membrane from the squid before breading it.

Frutti di mare pizza (£7.45 for 10") was bland, and not helped by the fact that they used a garlic base sauce for it rather than the tomato sauce I'd chosen when ordering.

However, the insalata mista (£3.75) was good; a decent-sized combination of very fresh mixed salad leaves, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, mixed peppers, sweetcorn, and olives — though the accompanying "vinaigrette" dressing was actually a creamy gloop from a bottle.

Kake's verdict: Pretty disappointing overall. The salad was the only good thing about it.

Food last sampled by Kake, October 2011.
