An interesting pub in the old station building of Denmark Hill Station.

When we visited they were selling Adnams Bitter and Young's Ordinary. The was another pump with the clip reversed that appeared to have Greene King beer.

They sell platters - one for £3.50, three for £9 and four for £11. We had honeyed chipolatas, lamb kofte and calamari.

It has had an varied history. It was opened when the station was rebuilt after a fire - hence the Phoenix rising from the ashes. It was one of the original Firkin Brew pubs, then it became part of the Firkin chain. Via O'Neills it is now an Ember Inn - the recent brands are all part of the M&B chain.
