A small Irish-themed architecturally-interesting pub on Camberwell New Road near Camberwell Green.
It reopened in 2008, under new management, and now does Thai food. A visitor named "Camberweller" tells us that previously it was a gastropub selling burgers, steaks, etc.
There is an area at the front that has green leather sofas and a log-burning stove, while towards the back there is a dramatic skylight and a chandelier.
secretlondon visited in September 2008 and had a pint of Greene King IPA (£2.60/pint) photo. It wasn't from a hand pump, as the pub didn't have any. The server confirmed that the pub was independently-owned and wasn't a Greene King pub. Signs advertised live Irish music from 6pm-9pm on Sundays and a choice of whiskies.
According to an advert in the May 2009 edition of the Southwark Weekender, Thai and English food is served from noon-10pm every day except Monday, including a Sunday roast for £7.
secretlondon visited again in October 2008. They only had Greene King IPA and the usual lagers. All the bottles were also the usual. I had some food this time — pad ga praow (£5.50) photo. It was okay but quite a small portion. There was a jukebox playing random music.
Accessibility: Accessible toilet with hand rails.
