Historical version 4 of Mulberry Bush, SE1 9PP (view current version)

Youngs pub on the South Bank, in the Good Beer Guide. Opposite the ITV studios and just along the road from the National Film Theatre.

The beer was tasty. Young's Ordinary was £2.75. They also had Bombardier on.

The food was okay. The steak (£10.75) was a touch tough and slightly overcooked. Martin had no complaints about his burger (£8.25).

The pub has two floors, with the upstairs being reserved for diners it would seem. There is a nice conservatory at the back of the ground floor. The main toilets are down in the basement, but there's a disabled toilet on the ground floor as well.

We were there on a Thursday night; it was quite busy in general, though the number of people in the pub waxed and waned over the evening. We suspect this depends on performances in the surrounding venues.
