[[secretlondon]] and [[Kake]] visited one Sunday in October 2011 believing that there was a buffet on. It turned out not to be happening so we ate from the menu anyway. Kake chose aganyin beans with plantain and meat and secretlondon chose the okra special, described as an 'exotic mix of seafood and stockfish'. This took 30 minutes to be ready so we had starters. secretlondon had garnished assorted meat [http://www.flickr.com/photos/secretlondon/6227861589 photo] and Kake had chicken gizzard suya [http://www.flickr.com/photos/secretlondon/6228380252 photo]. We both chose the Chapman non-alcoholic cocktail [http://www.flickr.com/photos/secretlondon/6227862569 photo] which was nice although I forget what it consisted of.

Kake's starter was rather nice and meaty. secretlondon's starter was stuck together and consisted of various types of offal (tripe etc) with hot peppers. I didn't realise it was going to be offal and found it a bit unmanageable.

secretlondon was asked whether she wanted beef and chicken in her stew - she said yes not realising that it would be offal. The stew was interesting [http://www.flickr.com/photos/secretlondon/6227863069 photo] - it was made of okra that had broken down completely into a glutinous soup. There were some small bits of seafood in it - a few shrimps and some squid. There was also tripe, and cartilage and other things we couldn't identify. I had it with amala [http://www.flickr.com/photos/secretlondon/6228384780/ photo] which is made of yam. It was quite hard to eat and too ambitious really.

It was interesting and next time I will have something less ambitious. I also need to check what 'meat' consists of as I wasn't expecting offal.
