A bar and restaurant on Upper Street in Islington.

The front of this place is busy on a Friday evening with post-work drinkers enjoying their cocktails (selected ones are £4 every day until 9pm, and £6 thereafter). They have a small but solid range, a nice combination of the tart and the sweet.

At the back is a function room which can be booked for parties of 20 or more, and separated by a sheer curtain. There our large party put our orders in, and the wait wasn't too long, considering. We also received a free champagne cocktail with our booking, which was a nice touch. The meat eaters were perfectly happy with their food, though there was only one vegetarian main option. This was the "pad thai rice noodles with beansprouts, shiitake mushroom, shallots, spring onions and chilli" (£7.50), which was extremely salty (perhaps too much soy sauce) and Ewan couldn't finish his. The starters were far better, with a tasty corn fritter.
